Product Description

Root: Marauder Hirelings Pack & Hireling Box introduces three new hireling groups to the Woodland, bringing fresh abilities, additional tactical choices and a dedicated storage box for organising your Root hirelings.

Hirelings add another dimension to Root's asymmetric strategy gameplay. In smaller games, they introduce extra pieces to the map, increasing tension and creating more opportunities for tactical decisions. In larger games, their alternate card sides provide special abilities that can influence your strategy without adding more playable factions.

Meet the Marauder Hirelings

• Flame Bearers / Rat Smugglers: Bring fiery destruction to the Woodland with the Flame Bearers or carry out special orders with the Rat Smugglers.
• Street Band / Popular Band: Capture the attention of rival factions or put on a Woodland performance with these lively hirelings.
• Vault Keepers / Badger Bodyguards: Preserve ancient traditions with the Vault Keepers or protect yourself from danger with the Badger Bodyguards.

Each hireling group offers different abilities depending on which side of its card is used, encouraging fresh combinations and new approaches to familiar Root battles.

Beyond the additional gameplay content, the included Hirelings Box provides a convenient way to store and organise your hireling components as your Root collection grows.

Whether you're looking to make smaller games more dynamic, experiment with different hireling abilities or keep your growing collection organised, the Marauder Hirelings Pack & Hireling Box is a useful addition to your Root experience.

Root Base Game Required

This is an expansion and cannot be played on its own. A copy of Root: A Game of Woodland Might and Right Board Game is required.
