Take control of iconic Marvel heroes, build your deck and work together to stop infamous villains and their schemes.
Product Description
Step into the Marvel Universe and take the fight directly to its most dangerous villains.
In Marvel Champions: The Card Game, one to four players work together as iconic Marvel heroes, balancing their heroic powers with the responsibilities of their alter-egos as they battle against a villain controlled by the game.
The Core Set includes Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, She-Hulk and Black Panther, each with their own identity, abilities and hero-specific cards. Face scenarios featuring Rhino, Klaw and Ultron, then customise the challenge with modular encounter sets for different combinations and levels of difficulty.
Every round is divided between the heroes and the villain. During the player phase, heroes can play allies, upgrades and supports, attack enemies, thwart schemes and call on teammates for help. During the villain phase, the enemy strikes back, advances their schemes and introduces new minions, treacheries and other threats.
Your identity can switch between hero and alter-ego form, changing the actions available to you and how the villain responds. Stay in hero form to attack, defend and thwart, or return to your alter-ego to recover and make use of abilities outside the mask.
Once you are ready to move beyond the preconstructed starter decks, Marvel Champions offers deck customisation using each hero's unique cards together with one of four aspects: Aggression, Justice, Leadership or Protection. Player decks contain between 40 and 50 cards.
As a Living Card Game, the system is designed to grow through fixed-content expansions, including additional heroes and new villain scenarios.
