War of the Ring: The Card Game brings the grand struggle of The Lord of the Rings into a quicker, card-driven format inspired by the award-winning War of the Ring board game.
Players split into two sides: the Shadow and the Free Peoples. Each player uses a different faction deck, playing characters, armies, items, and events to influence the journey of the Fellowship and the great battlegrounds of Middle-earth. The rulebook confirms that the standard Trilogy scenario is played by 2–4 players on two teams and follows the full story arc from the Shire to Mount Doom.
