About this product
Build railroads across Russia, grow stock value, earn dividends, and stay ahead of the Tsar.
A focused railway strategy board game for players who enjoy stock ownership, route building, and economic pressure.
Trans-Siberian Railroad is a 3–5 player train strategy board game where players invest in railroads, build links across Russia, earn dividends, and try to avoid nationalization.
Product Description
Trans-Siberian Railroad takes players into the late 19th century, when Russia sets out to build a massive rail connection from Moscow in the west to Vladivostok in the east.
Players compete by buying railroad stock, opening railway companies, building track links between cities, increasing income, and earning dividends. But there is a catch: railroads that fall too far behind may be taken over by the Tsar. Manage your shares, grow the right companies, and time your railway expansion carefully if you want to finish with the most money.
Why you’ll love it
- Railway strategy across Russia with a map inspired by the Trans-Siberian route from Moscow toward Vladivostok.
- Stock ownership matters — players buy shares in railroads and earn dividends when those railroads perform well.
- Route building with real pressure — railroads must build links between cities to grow income and raise stock value.
- Public vs private railroad tension adds smart decision-making around which companies can expand.
- Nationalization threat keeps the game sharp, because weak railroads can be taken over and lose value.
- Dividends create exciting payoff moments as players earn income from the railroads they invested in.
- Strong economic gameplay for fans of railway games, stock games, route-building games, and money-management strategy.
- Part of the Rio Grande Games / Winsome rail game line, making it a great pick for train game collectors.
