Tokaido Duo is a standalone board game inspired by Tokaido, but built especially for 1–2 players with fresh mechanisms and a more intimate style of play. Each turn uses a quick dice draft to move three different characters along their own paths across the island of Shikoku. As the pilgrim, you visit shrines, gardens, seashores, and hot springs. As the merchant, you collect and sell traditional souvenirs. As the artist, you create beautiful vistas and share them with locals.

This Stonemaier Edition adds useful player character guides and an Automa solo mode, making it a strong fit for both quiet two-player sessions and solo table time. It is light, elegant, and easy to bring to the table when you want something thoughtful without a long teach.
