2–5 Players | Ages 10+ | 20–90 Minutes | 12-Game Legacy Campaign
A campaign-driven Ticket to Ride adventure where your railway company, game board, rules and story evolve across 12 connected games.
Product Description
The rails are opening across North America, and your newly established train company is ready to make its mark.
Ticket to Ride Legacy: Legends of the West takes the familiar route-building foundations of Ticket to Ride and turns them into a connected 12-game campaign where the choices and results of one game carry forward into the next.
Each player becomes the president of their own railway company, building routes, completing Tickets and earning money while competing to develop the most successful company. Your journey begins on only part of the map, but the world does not stay that way for long.
As the campaign unfolds, new frontier boards become part of the map, additional rules are introduced, events change, new materials enter play and previously hidden content is gradually revealed. Your own copy develops alongside your railway company, creating a campaign shaped by what happens at your table.
The familiar Ticket to Ride choices are still at the heart of every turn. Draw Train cards, claim routes or take new Tickets, but expect the rules and possibilities around those decisions to develop as your journey continues.
Your company also has its own office and sealed vault. What you earn and accomplish across the campaign matters beyond a single game, making each railway decision part of a much larger adventure.
Why you’ll love it
- A complete 12-game campaign: Each game forms part of a larger connected railway adventure.
- Your game evolves as you play: New rules, cards, materials and sections of the board are introduced throughout the campaign.
- Build your own railway company: Each player manages the same company across the full campaign.
- A growing map: Begin with only part of North America and add new frontier boards as the campaign develops.
- Classic Ticket to Ride decisions with a new purpose: Draw Train cards, claim routes and complete Tickets while working towards longer-term campaign goals.
- Events keep the railway world changing: Newspaper cards can introduce new events during play.
- Your results carry forward: Decisions and outcomes from earlier games affect what happens later in the campaign.
- Hidden discoveries: Frontier boxes, postcards, story cards and other campaign materials reveal new elements as you progress.
- Company development matters: Earnings are tracked not only within individual games but across the wider campaign.
- Designed for discovery: Much of the experience is deliberately hidden at the beginning, letting the game reveal itself gradually.

Good to Know
- Standalone game: Ticket to Ride Legacy: Legends of the West is a complete game and does not require another Ticket to Ride title to play.
- This is a legacy game: Your copy changes permanently as the 12-game campaign progresses.
- Rules develop during the campaign: Blank areas in the rulebook are intentionally filled with new rule stickers as new mechanics are discovered.
- The board expands: New frontier boards become permanent parts of the game board as you progress.
- Do not explore campaign materials early: Frontier boxes, postcards and other hidden materials should only be opened or examined when the game tells you to do so.
- Protect the story: Do not read the Story deck before instructed and do not shuffle it.
- One company for the campaign: Each player chooses a railway company and continues with that company throughout the campaign.
- Individual games still have a winner: Players earn money during each game, with the player holding the most dollars winning that particular game.
- Long-term success matters too: Materials placed into your company's vault remain there until the end of the 12-game campaign and contribute to determining the most successful company.
- Ticket to Ride experience helps but is not required: The rulebook specifically instructs even experienced Ticket to Ride players to read the rules because some rules differ from other editions.
