- On your turn, you choose one action: draw Transportation cards, claim a Route, or draw Destination Ticket cards.
- Berlin has two route types: Streetcar Routes and Subway Routes. Streetcar routes use streetcars, while subway routes use subway cars.
- Bicycle cards act as wild cards and can help claim routes of any colour.
- Destination Tickets are kept secret until final scoring. Completed tickets score points; missed tickets lose points.
- The game ends when a player has zero or one playing piece left, then each player gets one final turn.
