The darkness below is no longer empty.
Cooperative horror expansion • 1–5 players • Ages 14+ • Approx. 50 minutes • Base game required
Descend into the Hollow, face The Other and add new monsters, Pathway Cards and terrifying new challenges to The Night Cage.
Product Description
The labyrinth has opened beneath you — and something has been waiting in the dark.
The Night Cage: Shrieking Hollow expands the cooperative horror of The Night Cage with a new sideboard called the Hollow, fresh passages, new threats and a terrifying creature known as The Other.
Pits now provide a way into the Hollow, where Prisoners can use the weak glow of their candles to hold The Other back. But the reprieve never lasts. As the maze shifts and new Pits appear, The Other rises through the Hollow, drawing closer to the Main Board and threatening to consume parts of the labyrinth in darkness.
New Shrieks herald its approach, while Watched Keys bring another layer of danger to the Prisoners' search for escape. Every decision about who enters the Hollow, who stays behind and when to risk disturbing the darkness gives the group more to discuss and plan together.
Shrieking Hollow also introduces additional modules for groups ready to push the challenge further. Pathway Cards can offer powerful opportunities at a meaningful cost, while Night Terrors add new horrors including Light Eaters, Pathbreakers and the Endbringer.
The familiar candlelit maze is still there — but now the darkness has somewhere deeper to lead you.
Can your light hold back what waits in the dark?
Why You’ll Love It
- Explore the Hollow: A new sideboard creates another dangerous space beyond the familiar labyrinth.
- Face The Other: This enormous three-section monster rises through the Hollow and can eventually threaten the Main Board itself.
- More cooperative decisions: Players must decide when to enter the Hollow, how long to remain there and how to respond as new dangers emerge.
- New threats in the maze: Shrieks, Watched Keys and additional passages change the pressure surrounding every move.
- Pathway Cards add risk and reward: Discover useful abilities that can help the group, but only if someone is prepared to pay their cost.
- Night Terrors raise the stakes: Add new monsters and extra challenges when your group is ready for an even darker experience.
- Built to expand the original game: The new content works alongside the candlelight, tile placement and disappearing-maze mechanics at the heart of The Night Cage.
