Terraforming Mars: Amazonis & Vastitas introduces two new regions of the Red Planet, each bringing its own map layout, placement opportunities, milestones and awards to your Terraforming Mars games.

Amazonis Planitia takes you to the broad lava plains west of Olympus Mons. Its larger playing area features longer global parameters, giving players more room to develop their presence on Mars and making it particularly well suited to larger 4–5 player games. Energy bonuses feature prominently across the landscape, while wild resource bonuses can provide any standard resource.

Amazonis also introduces its own set of milestones and awards, rewarding achievements such as Earth tags, varied resources, colonies, city development, production and scientific progress.

Vastitas Borealis shifts the action to the lowlands of Mars' northern hemisphere and the icy region surrounding the North Pole. Placing a tile on the frozen carbon dioxide around the pole can increase the temperature, but doing so comes at a cost, creating a distinctive new placement decision.

The Viking 1 and Viking 2 landing sites can interact with delegates when Turmoil is being used, while several volcanic locations open new possibilities for cards and effects associated with volcanic areas.

Whether you want more room to terraform or simply a fresh strategic landscape, Amazonis & Vastitas gives experienced Terraforming Mars players two very different ways to return to the Red Planet.
