About this product

Roll the markers. Pick your colour. Grow the prettiest bamboo garden.

A bright and gentle family game from Matagot and Bombyx, designed by Antoine Bauza and Corentin Lebrat for quick, colourful play with children and families.

Takenokolor is a charming family colouring game where players choose colourful markers, match symbols, and fill their garden sheets with bamboo, water, fish, ladybugs, and cheerful detail.

Product Description

In Takenokolor, everyone becomes a little apprentice gardener with one very important mission: turn a simple bamboo garden into a colourful piece of paradise.

Each round, the active player rolls the four coloured markers into the middle of the table. Players then choose a marker one at a time and colour one matching space on their garden sheet. The colour and symbol both matter, so every choice helps shape your garden in a slightly different way.

You will grow bamboo from the bottom up, complete areas, attract ladybugs, and score points for the beautiful details you manage to finish. Different garden sheets add variety, with new scoring ideas and extra rules as players become more confident.

It is quick, gentle, easy to learn, and full of colour. Perfect for families who want a relaxed game that still gives children choices, focus, and that lovely “I made this!” feeling at the end.

Care & Maintenance

Keep the markers capped when not in use so they do not dry out. Store the garden sheets flat inside the box and keep the game away from moisture, direct sunlight, and rough handling. After each game, check that all markers and rings are returned to the box so the next setup is quick and easy.
