Product Description
The Kingdom is in danger once again. With the Unhallowed threat spreading and few champions left to answer the call, the crown turns to the Swords of the Coin, a mercenary guild willing to fight, for the right price.
Set a Watch: Swords of the Coin is a standalone cooperative adventure game for 1–4 players that combines tactical dice combat, character abilities and careful resource management with a new focus on collecting coin and buying powerful Items from the Merchant.
Every round, your four-Adventurer party must decide who will rest at Camp and who will stand Watch. The Adventurer at Camp maintains the fire, scouts ahead, heals exhausted abilities and prepares the party, while the others face a growing Line of Creatures using their dice, unique abilities and equipped Items.
Coin earned during your journey can be spent during the new Merchant Phase, where weapons, equipment and other useful Items can strengthen individual Adventurers before the next battle. But every choice matters, resources are limited, abilities can become exhausted and any Creatures you fail to defeat may return as part of the dangerous Horde waiting in the final round.
Six distinctive Adventurers bring very different approaches to the fight, from the trophy-hunting Bounty Hunter and rage-driven Barbarian to the Witch and her Familiar, the evolving Monk, the dark-magic Heretic and the charge-powered Artificer.
Survive nine rounds, prepare for the final Watch and defeat everything the darkness throws at your party before the Unhallowed overwhelm the realm.
Standalone and ready to play on its own, Swords of the Coin is also fully compatible with the original Set a Watch.
The rulebook confirms the nine-round structure, with Camp, Merchant and Watch phases forming the core journey before the final battle.

Good to Know
- Set a Watch: Swords of the Coin does not require the original Set a Watch to play.
- The game always uses four Adventurers, regardless of player count. In solo play, one player controls all four.
- One Adventurer rests at Camp while the remaining Adventurers stand Watch and fight the approaching Creatures.
- Each Adventurer must visit Camp exactly twice during the first eight rounds; all four Adventurers fight during the final round.
- The Merchant Phase lets the resting Adventurer spend the group's collected coin on Items.
- Each Adventurer can normally have up to two equipped Items.
- Creatures that survive can become part of the Horde, making the final round increasingly dangerous.
- After becoming familiar with the game, players can customise Creature and Location decks to create new challenges.
- Already own Set a Watch? Creatures, Locations and Adventurers from Swords of the Coin can be mixed and matched with the original game, no link needed on our site for now.
The final Watch adds the accumulated Horde to the Creature Line, and victory requires clearing that Line while at least one Adventurer still has an unexhausted Ability card.
