About this product
Simple to learn. Surprisingly hard to outplay.
A beautifully tactile two-player game of timing, position and clever restraint.
Build the pyramid while conserving your wooden spheres, and be the player who places the final sphere at the top.
Product Description
Pylos turns a simple pile of wooden spheres into a wonderfully clever battle of position and timing.
Two players take turns placing spheres to build a pyramid, but using your pieces too quickly can leave you with nothing to play. Clever moves allow you to reposition spheres already on the board or return spheres to your reserve, helping you conserve the pieces you will need as the pyramid rises.
Create a square in your own colour and you can return one or two of your spheres to your reserve. Spot an opportunity to build upwards using a sphere already in play and you can save another valuable piece for later. With straightforward rules and short rounds, Pylos creates a tactical contest where every sphere can matter.
The goal is beautifully simple: preserve your spheres, build upwards and be the player who places the final sphere at the top of the pyramid.

Good to Know
- Each player begins with 15 spheres in their colour.
- Players take turns placing one sphere at a time as the pyramid gradually takes shape.
- When four spheres form a square, a player may be able to move one of their existing spheres onto that square instead of using another from their reserve.
- Completing a square entirely in your own colour lets you return one or two of your spheres from the board to your reserve.
- The winner is the player who places the final sphere at the top of the pyramid.
