About this product
Build a little corner of Costa Rica, one wild choice at a time.
A colourful tile-laying game where clever placement brings biodiversity to life.
Grow your own national park by placing wildlife and habitats carefully to create a thriving, balanced ecosystem.
Product Description
Welcome to the colourful national parks of Costa Rica, where toucans, sloths, snakes, butterflies and red-eyed tree frogs share an extraordinary variety of habitats.
In Pura Vida, you become a ranger working to create a balanced national park. Choose animal tiles from the path and add them to your growing park, paying careful attention to each animal's movement direction and where new tiles can be placed. Every choice shapes what you will be able to do next.
Biodiversity is the heart of the challenge. Build groups that combine different animals within the same habitat, the same animal across different habitats, or a varied mix of both. Clever placement earns points as your park grows, creating a light and approachable puzzle with plenty of tactical choices along the way.
Relax into the spirit of Pura Vida, grow your park thoughtfully and see who can create the most rewarding balance of wildlife and habitat.

Good to Know
- On your turn, choose between releasing an animal into the wild by taking and placing a tile, or resting for the remainder of the round.
- Newly placed tiles must connect horizontally or vertically to your existing park, and the arrow on the tile determines the direction from which it must be added.
- No more than five tiles may sit directly next to one another in a horizontal or vertical line.
- Biodiversity can score through different animals sharing a habitat, the same animal appearing across different habitats, or combinations where both animals and habitats differ.
- The main goal is to reach 20 points while building your national park through smart tile selection and placement.
