Product Description
Lead a civilization through the ages and prove that yours deserves a place among history's greatest.
Monumental Duel: Espionage brings the Monumental deck-building experience to a focused game designed specifically for two players. Each player develops a growing civilization by constructing Buildings and Wonders, advancing scientific Knowledge, developing Cultural Policies and conquering Provinces.
At the beginning of each round, you activate one row and one column of your City, generating resources and making selected card abilities available for the round. From there, players alternate actions as they develop their cities, acquire new cards, construct Wonders, compete for Provinces and strengthen their civilizations.
The Espionage edition introduces Aksum, Greece and the Mughal Empire, each with its own civilization cards, Cultural Policies, Warlord and Scout.
Its exclusive Espionage module gives your Scout a new role: spying on your opponent. Train agents to build your pool of Agent Dice or deploy them to activate effects from your current Espionage Card. Dice can be rerolled by spending resources, creating another layer of decisions as you decide how far to push your espionage efforts.
Monumental Duel: Espionage is completely playable on its own, but it can also be combined with other Monumental Duel boxes. Civilizations can face those from other sets, while the different gameplay modules can be mixed to create an even broader range of strategic possibilities.
