Product Description

Silver has been discovered in medieval Bohemia, drawing miners, craftsmen and ambitious families to a rapidly growing settlement that will become the celebrated City of Silver.

In Kutná Hora: The City of Silver, 2–4 players lead influential families with ties to different guilds as they help develop the mines and city of 14th-century Kutná Hora.

At the heart of the game is a dynamic supply-and-demand economy. Population growth, increased ore production and new buildings can all change commodity prices, meaning the value of resources and the cost of future plans can shift as players make their decisions.

Each round, you choose actions from a hand of double-sided cards. Mine for ore, acquire building rights, claim plots, construct guild and public buildings, generate income or contribute towards St. Barbara's Cathedral. Playing one side of an action card also means giving up the action on its other side for that round, making timing and forward planning important.

Your available guilds create an asymmetrical starting position and influence which buildings you can develop. Yet your plans are never completely isolated from those of your rivals. Expanding production changes the shared economy, new buildings affect surrounding spaces and the growth of Kutná Hora can create opportunities for everyone.
