Welcome to Great Western Trail: New Zealand, a strategic board game set on the South Island of New Zealand at the beginning of the 20th century.

You are a runholder managing a growing sheep station. Your goal is to build a stronger flock, improve the value of your wool, and make smart choices as new challenges appear. Each turn, you move your runholder along a winding trail towards Wellington, using the locations you reach to take actions, improve your strategy, and prepare for future deliveries.

Along the way, you can buy better sheep, place buildings, hire workers, move your ship, remove hazards, collect cards, and unlock new ways to score. When your runholder reaches Wellington, you deliver sheep to local or foreign trading posts, earn income, and continue your journey again.
