About this product
Build your clan. Shape your Highlands. Leave your mark on history.
Strategic tile-placement game • 2–4 players • Ages 12+ • 90–120 minutes • 8 Chronicles included
Lead a Scottish clan through centuries of growth, expanding your territory, managing resources and choosing exactly when to push ahead on the Rondel.
Product Description
From the early medieval ages to the 19th century, the future of your Scottish clan rests on the decisions you make.
In Glen More II: Chronicles, you expand your territory across the Highlands, develop your economy, produce whisky, trade resources, connect with other clans and gain control of famous lochs, castles and landmarks as you compete to make the greatest impact on Scottish history.
At the heart of the game is its distinctive Rondel system. There is no fixed turn order. The player furthest behind on the Rondel takes the next turn and may move forward as far as they choose to claim a Tile. Move only a little and you may act again sooner; leap far ahead for something valuable and the other clans could receive several turns before you return to action.
Territory Tiles are added to your growing landscape and can activate themselves along with neighbouring Tiles, allowing carefully planned placement to create chains of production, movement and scoring opportunities. Players can produce resources, move Scotsmen, make whisky and use the Market to buy or sell goods as their clans develop.
But Glen More II: Chronicles goes far beyond its base game. The box contains eight Chronicles, each introducing a different theme, mechanism or strategic twist. Start with the core rules, then add Chronicles individually or combine several to create your preferred version of the game.
From Highland boat racing and ageing single-cask whisky to Scottish history, haggis, political voting and the troublesome Penny Mobs, the Chronicles give you new ways to explore the Highlands every time the box reaches the table.
Will your clan leave the greatest mark on Scottish history?
