About this product

Solve the case before the train reaches its final stop.

A clever one-time escape room board game from Kosmos, designed for mystery lovers, puzzle solvers, and small-group game nights.

A murder mystery escape room board game where players work together to solve clues, crack codes, and uncover the culprit aboard the Orient Express.

Product Description

Step aboard the Orient Express, where a mysterious case has shaken the journey from Paris to Constantinople. A passenger has been found dead, the suspects are still on board, and the famous detective Achilles Pussot has disappeared before he can reveal the truth.

Now it is up to you and your fellow players to follow his notes, examine the clues, solve the riddles, and expose the culprit before the train reaches its destination.

EXIT: Dead Man on the Orient Express is a cooperative escape room board game filled with code-cracking, clue-hunting, and story-driven puzzle solving. It is a strong choice for players who enjoy mystery themes, detective-style thinking, and a more challenging EXIT experience.

This is not just about solving random puzzles. The riddles are tied to the story, the train setting, and the case itself, making the whole experience feel like one tense investigation around the table.

Why you’ll love it

  • A proper escape room experience at home – enjoy the pressure, teamwork, and “aha!” moments of an escape room without leaving your living room.
  • Strong murder mystery theme – the Orient Express setting gives the game a classic detective feel with suspects, clues, and a ticking-clock atmosphere.
  • Cooperative puzzle-solving – players work together to decode clues, connect information, and move the investigation forward.
  • More challenging EXIT gameplay – with a 4 out of 5 difficulty rating, this is a great pick for players who want a tougher puzzle night.
  • Story and riddles work together – the puzzles feel connected to the mystery, making the game more immersive than a simple brain-teaser box.
  • Great for solo or small-group play – it works for one focused puzzle fan or up to four players around the table.
  • A memorable one-time game night – because some materials may be written on, folded, or changed, the game feels like a real event experience.

Good to Know

  • The Kosmos Helper App is available for an atmospheric soundtrack and digital timer, but the game can still be played as an unplugged tabletop experience.
  • This is a harder EXIT title, so it is best suited to players who enjoy careful thinking, clue linking, and more challenging riddles.
  • Great for older kids, teens, adults, couples, small groups, and mystery fans who enjoy cooperative problem-solving.

Care & Maintenance
Keep the game components stored neatly in the box when not in use. Do not look through the cards, book, sealed sheets, or special items before starting, as the game relies on surprise and discovery. Because this is a one-time EXIT experience, some pieces may be written on, folded, cut, or changed during play.
