Everdell: Emerland Essentials Edition

About this product

Explore a tropical corner of the Everdell world and build a jungle city filled with discovery.

A standalone 1–4 player strategy game with worker placement, Helpers, card upgrades, archaeology and solo play.

Gather resources, develop your city, upgrade cards and uncover Artifacts as your Archaeologist searches for the Lost City.

Product Description

Travel west of Everdell Valley into the lush tropical realm of Emerland, a land shaped by music, art, abundant natural resources and traces of an ancient civilisation waiting to be rediscovered.

In Everdell: Emerland Essentials Edition, you send Critter Workers across the board to gather resources and use them to play cards into your growing jungle city. Clever Helpers add another layer to worker placement, assisting your Workers and opening up additional possibilities as locations become contested.

Your city develops through double-sided cards that can be upgraded from their Basic side to a more powerful version. Artisan cards introduce another way to use cards from your hand, while Realm cards can increase the size of your city and provide additional end-game scoring opportunities.

Beyond the city, one of your Workers becomes an Archaeologist and follows a separate path towards the Lost City. Excavations can uncover Artifacts, providing another route to rewards and points as the seasons progress.

The game begins in summer and moves through autumn, winter and spring. Once every player has completed the final season and finished taking actions, the player with the most points wins.

• Choosing between editions: If you prefer the same Emerland gameplay with upgraded premium components, consider Everdell: Emerland Collector’s Edition instead.
• Upgrade your table later: The Everdell: Emerland Deluxe Resource Vessels accessory adds seven themed resource containers and 45 sculpted replacement Artifact tiles for players who would like to enhance their Emerland setup.
• Helpers add flexibility: Helpers can support Workers in several ways, including helping with occupied locations and strengthening eligible worker-placement actions.
• Cards can be upgraded: Cards begin on their Basic side and can later be flipped to an upgraded side with stronger abilities and an increased base point value.
• Explore while you build: Your Archaeologist follows a separate path towards the Lost City, giving you another way to pursue rewards and end-game points.
• Players progress independently: Players do not have to prepare for a new season at the same time.
