About this product

Gather enchanted ingredients, brew magical potions, and impress the forest wizard.

A beautifully illustrated family strategy game with magical potion brewing, tactical placement, and gentle player interaction.

Elixirus is a family-friendly worker placement board game where players collect magical ingredients and brew potions for the legendary forest wizard.

Product Description

Deep inside an enchanted forest, the legendary wizard Elixirus has invited young apprentices to his annual Magical Mixing Contest.

Your mission is simple: gather the best ingredients, brew beautiful potions, and impress the wizard before your rivals do.

In Elixirus, players send their apprentices into the magical forest to collect mushrooms, acorns, herbs, crystals, and other potion ingredients. Each forest area offers different choices, rewards, and clever effects, so every placement matters.

Once the ingredients are gathered, players add them to their personal potion boards, filling bottles from the bottom up and trying to complete valuable potions before the other apprentices. Some ingredients score well, some help complete special recipes, and some may become cursed or toxic if used poorly.

The game ends when a player completes their fourth potion bottle. Then everyone adds up their ingredients, cork bonuses, recipe bonuses, enchanted ingredients, and penalties to see who brewed the most impressive collection.

With its magical theme, charming artwork, and clever tactical choices, Elixirus is a lovely choice for families and players who enjoy gentle strategy with a little bit of mischief.

Good to Know

  • Family-friendly strategy: Easy enough for families, but with enough choices to keep adults involved
  • Potion board planning: Ingredients must match the bottle spaces and are placed from bottom to top
  • Complete bottles faster: The first player to finish a bottle type gets a higher-value cork
  • Crystals are flexible: Crystals can be used as any ingredient, but they do not score points at the end
  • Poison bottle warning: Ingredients that cannot be placed may end up in the poison bottle and lose points
  • Small parts warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years

Care & Maintenance

Store the game in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the boards, forest pieces, ingredients, corks, apprentices, bag, and rulebook packed safely in the box after play. Wipe components gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth if needed, and avoid soaking any pieces. Keep small parts away from very young children.
