About this product
Brew wisely. Balance Sun and Moon. Become Druid of the Year.
A colourful strategy game of ingredient combinations and double-sided rune management.
Choose ingredients, manipulate your Sun and Moon runes and build the highest-scoring potion before the contest ends.
Product Description
Welcome to Carnuta, the annual druidic ritual where travellers from distant lands gather for a potion-making contest to determine the Druid of the Year.
On every turn, choose 2 actions from four possibilities: take a card, play a card, take runes or flip runes. Your actions may be the same or different, giving you freedom to gather ingredients, prepare the runes you need or add another card to your growing potion.
At the heart of Carnuta is its double-sided Sun and Moon rune system. Playing Ingredient cards requires you to manipulate, flip and return runes, so choosing the right ingredients means thinking about both their scoring potential and what your current rune arrangement allows.
Build combinations of Day and Night ingredients, use special cards to strengthen your potion and unlock additional opportunities as it grows. Double cards count as two Ingredients of their type, while Salt works as a Wild Ingredient once added to one of your existing Ingredient groups.
The end of the game is triggered when one player plays their 11th card. Ingredients are then scored according to the combinations you have created, and the player with the highest total wins.
