About this product

A glowing new Azul challenge where every pane placement matters.

Beautiful to look at, satisfying to play, and packed with clever decisions for family game night.

Draft colourful glass panes, complete elegant palace windows, and outscore your rivals in this striking Azul sequel.

Product Description

In Azul: Stained Glass of Sintra, King Manuel I calls on the finest stained glass artisans to decorate the windows of the Royal Palace in Sintra. Over 6 rounds, players draft coloured glass panes from factory displays, build matching patterns, and place completed panes into their palace windows to score points.

This entry in the Azul series keeps the clean tile-drafting feel players love, but adds a fresh twist with a moving glazier, vertical window-building, and a stronger sense of timing. You will need to plan ahead, manage broken glass penalties, and choose carefully when to reset your glazier back to the left side for future turns. The result is a game that feels familiar to Azul fans, while offering a more dynamic puzzle of movement and scoring. The game supports 2 to 4 players, plays in about 30 to 45 minutes, and ends after 6 rounds followed by final scoring.

Why you’ll love it

  • A fresh standalone Azul experience with a new stained-glass window theme
  • Beautiful translucent-style pane pieces and elegant table presence
  • Easy to learn, but deeper than it first looks thanks to the glazier movement system
  • Rewards planning, timing, and smart pattern completion
  • Great for families, couples, and friends who enjoy thoughtful strategy without heavy rules
  • Plays in a comfortable 30 to 45 minutes, making it ideal for repeat plays

Good to Know

  • This is a standalone Azul game, so you do not need the original Azul to play
  • The game is played over 6 rounds and ends with a final scoring phase.
  • Players can choose either side A or side B of the palace boards, and each side changes final scoring slightly.
  • The glazier movement adds a clever restriction: you can only place panes on the strip under your glazier or to its right unless you use a turn to move back left.
  • Broken glass can cost points, so careful drafting matters just as much as good scoring opportunities.

Care & Maintenance

  • Store the pane pieces, boards, and tokens neatly in the box or bag after play
  • Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight to help protect the boards, print, and components
